Arrival

Students who are dropped off in the drop off lane,  should stay in the car until a Heiman staff member greets them at the car.  They will then walk to the blacktop doors and enter the school through the back doors.  Parents, please DO NOT enter the school through the back doors.  We have a strict new visitor policies in place for the safety of all our students.  If you wish to enter the school, please check in at the front office for a visitor's pass.   

Students who arrive by bus will be greeted by a staff member as they get off the bus and will enter the building through the back doors.  Students who meet a special education staff member in the front of the building will be greeted by their staff member and escorted into the building to their classroom.  Please do not follow your child into the building with the staff member.  If you wish to go to the classroom, please check in at the office for a visitor's pass.  

Students who arrive by walking or are dropped off in the neighborhood and walk to school will enter the school through the back doors.    

Free breakfast and lunches will be provided for all students who wish to receive one.  

School Schedule

Kindergarten through 5th Grade

Our campus will open at 7:25 am for students to enter our building. 8:25 on Mondays due to late start

Upon entering the building, students will head directly to their classrooms. Breakfast is available in the classroom

First bell will be at 7:25 am and the school day will begin at 7:40 am. On Mondays, first bell is at 8:25 and the school day will begin at 8:40am

Preschool:

• Mondays-8:25 AM-10:40 AM OR 11:50 AM-2:50 PM
• Tuesday-Friday 7:25 AM-10:40 AM OR 11:50 AM-2:50 PM

Dismissal

Pick-up lane:  Dismissed at 2:50; students will exit out onto the blacktop or the end of the west wing.  Please pull all the way forward, and do not park and leave your car unattended in this lane.

Walkers and Bus: Dismissed at 2:50; exit out onto the blacktop or the end of the west wing. Students who walk to/from school will be expected to cross at one of the crosswalks along Palermo (Florence, Rialto, or Milan) for their safety.

Please have a pre-arranged meeting spot where your children should meet up to either leave the campus or enter your vehicle. We cannot over stress the importance of arriving on time. 

Please make sure your child(ren) knows how they are getting home.
