Phillips 66 reps, ST Math rep, and Ann K Heiman principals pose together for a photo.

Community partner Phillips 66 was honored at the September 28, 2026, Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board Meeting for awarding the district a $167,025 grant to fund ST Math access for K-5 students, as well as teacher professional development for ST Math.

Community partner Phillips 66 was honored at the September 28, 2026, Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board Meeting for awarding the district a $167,025 grant to fund ST Math access for K-5 students, as well as teacher professional development for ST Math.

ST Math is one of several supplemental math resources supporting elementary students’ math education. It is a digital, visual mathematics program designed to build students’ conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. District 6 schools have utilized this resource since 2015. The generous grant from Phillips 66 allows District 6 to continue providing this tool to our teachers and elementary students in 17 schools at no cost to the district.

“There is no shortage of digital math apps available online, and many are flashy but offer limited instructional value. We’ve used ST Math for years because of its deep grounding in research and alignment to grade-level standards.  When teachers have deeper training, they are better able to use it effectively - this often means students spend less time on the program, because their use is more intentional,” said Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Pilch.

In addition to student access, the grant covers the cost of training for every K-5 teacher in the district. Each school’s grade level teams will have the opportunity to work with an ST Math trainer. This in-depth, targeted training would not be possible without the grant.

As part of the grant, Phillips 66 and ST Math hosted a community math night at Ann K. Heiman Elementary School. Students and families enjoyed a meal together, learned about ST Math,  and each received an ST Math board game as a gift.

Greeley-Evans School District 6 is grateful for Phillips 66’s partnership and significant investment in our students, families, and teachers.
